Each political party in each of the 50 States and the District of Columbia submits a list of individuals pledged to their candidate for President and equal in number to the State's electoral vote (10 for Maryland). Judicial Elections
Judicial elections differ in several ways from the election of other public offices. Detailed information on how judges are appointed and run for continuance in office for the Court of Appeals, Court of Special Appeals, Circuit Court and District Court is available.
Ballot Questions
There are 2 Constitutional Amendments and 1 Local Referendum that will appear on the November 4th, 2008 General Election ballot. The Local Referendum will appear on the ballot in the County specified in the legislation. Additionally, local ballot questions may appear on the ballot in certain counties.
